Saturn necklace | sterling silver
The most visually striking object in the solar system — a gas giant encircled by a ring system that has no equivalent anywhere else we know.
The Science of Saturn
Saturn is the sixth planet from the Sun and the second largest in the solar system, with a diameter of ~120,500 km and a mass 95 times that of Earth — yet so low in density that it would float on water. Its ring system, extending up to 282,000 km from the planet's centre, is composed primarily of water ice particles ranging in size from micrometres to metres, with a total mass roughly equal to that of the moon Mimas. Saturn has 146 known moons, including Titan — larger than Mercury, with a thick nitrogen atmosphere and lakes of liquid methane and ethane — and Enceladus, which ejects plumes of water vapour from an ocean beneath its icy crust. The Cassini-Huygens mission (1997-2017) revealed this system in extraordinary detail.

FAQ
Q: What material and chain length?
A: Sterling silver, 45cm (18 inches). The planet hangs with the ring clearly defined, recognisable from any angle.
Q: Why choose Saturn over other planets?
A: Saturn's rings are unique. No other planet has this geometry, which makes it instantly recognisable and conceptually elegant. It represents both isolation and beauty.
Q: Is this for astronomers only?
A: No. Anyone drawn to planets, space, or the idea of something remote and beautiful can wear it. It reads as wonder, not expertise.
Q: How do I keep sterling silver looking bright?
A: Mild soap and dry storage. It will patina naturally, which many find beautiful. Polishing brings back shine if you prefer that. We deliver globally with DHL Express.
